OFFICE RELOCATION INSPIRES CULTURAL SHIFT FOR THE SECOND LARGEST POSTAL OPERATOR IN THE UK

Whistl (formerly TNT) chose Whistl for their new name because happy people whistle.  Our client’s office relocation to a new 21,000 sq ft Headquarters in Marlow was going to be the most visible expression of this culture shift. It was also an opportunity to introduce an Agile Working model to increase flexibility and improve the efficiency of the way their business operated.

 

 

 

 

OUR CHALLENGE

Whistl are market leaders in Downstream Access Mail (DSA) services, handling over 50% of bulk business mail in the UK. Their office move provided an opportunity to challenge the traditional working model, increasing collaboration and interconnectivity between teams and fundamentally breaking down the perception that people were managed by their presence rather than their output.


THE NHQ DIFFERENCE

NHQ was appointed to develop a comprehensive office design template for the relocation project. The new space had to be reflective of our client’s brand DNA, the young demographic of the workforce (50% of survey respondents were under 35 years) and a vision for growth within the business. Our design response focused on increasing productivity through a major shift to Agile Working with a strong visual statement to connect the people with the brand. To meet all the key deliverables, our client invited us to project manage the entire process.
