DESIGN A MODERN OPEN PLAN SPACE WITH DEFINED ACOUSTIC AREAS

NHQ won the contract for the full office design and fit-out project and set about capturing and interpreting the company’s ambitious ideas. These included ‘creative display stands’, acoustic buffers’ and ‘touch-down areas for field staff’. While the company is divided for organisational purposes into ‘consumer’ and ‘business’ focused departments, Jabra did not want the demarcations to be obvious to visitors from either camp.

THE PROJECT

OUR CHALLENGE

Jabra designs and manufactures state-of-the-art Bluetooth headsets for office, car and sports applications. The entire company was moving to a 5,000 ft2 office space in the Thames Valley, and wanted the new work environment to reflect their innovative and playful yet thought-provoking brand.

THE NHQ DIFFERENCE

The office space needed to include areas for showcasing, demonstrating and sound testing different products. NHQ used clear wall panels to act as sound buffers, and retained the open plan feel by identifying the distinct areas with different flooring. The Jabra brand was reflected through the modern and minimalist fittings, display units and the incidental splashes of yellow (from the Jabra logo) throughout.

A CLEAR DIVISION OF SPACE AND SOUND

Jabra’s products enable their customers to ‘work, live and play’. The new office space ensures the Jabra team can do the same. The breakout areas are comfortable and playful. The touch-down areas provide everything the field workers need to be productive on their weekly visits, and the dedicated meeting rooms are ready for business
