CREATE ONE STATE-OF-THE-ART OFFICE FROM TWO PREMISES FROM SCRATCH

Real Estate specialists Knight Frank had acquired a two storey building in the centre of Guildford for their new offices. The building was in a ‘shell and core’ state, so the project involved a major office refurbishment and fit-out.

THE PROJECT

OUR CHALLENGE

The two floors had been used by different companies before, so our first major challenge was to create one office space from two separate units. The second was to transform the building into a space that lived up to the prestigious Knight Frank brand. We also had to undertake some significant structural work, cutting a large concrete opening in the ground floor ceiling to create an opening for the wood-step spiral staircase that would link the two floors.

THE NHQ DIFFERENCE

The office refurbishment has created a new space which is bold, striking and thoroughly modern. The full height windows allow daylight to bathe the natural wood flooring and the inviting white sofas in the meet and greet area. The meeting rooms sit behind contemporary glass partitioning, continuing the sense of space and light, while the back-office work area provides all the functions the team requires in a clean and compact footprint.

A WORK SPACE WITH THE POWER TO IMPRESS

The new Knight Frank Guildford office is decidedly upmarket, reflecting the company’s premium brand. As this was our first office fit-out project for Knight Frank we were keen to impress with our excellent delivery. We succeeded, completing the beautiful space before our client was ready to move in.
